How we vet experts

Experts who join The New Order now apply first, and someone on our team reviews each application. This page lists what they send us, what we look at and what we don't check.

What an applicant sends us

The test

Every applicant takes a short test with 8 multiple-choice questions and 2 written answers. Our server scores the multiple-choice answers, and only our team sees the score. A low score doesn't reject anyone on its own: the person who reviews the application decides.

Our review

The applicant gets an email at every step, with any note from our team in it.

What approval means for you

Only approved experts appear in the expert directory, and only approved experts can add services, so you can only book an expert our team approved. Approved experts carry the label Approved by The New Order.

What we don't check

Experts who joined before we introduced this process didn't take the test: our team approved them or added them by hand. We review an application once, when the expert applies, and we don't retest experts after approval. We don't check identity documents and we don't call past clients. Approval doesn't guarantee how your project turns out; your payment sits in escrow until you approve the delivered work.
